A/B Testing (Split Testing)

Sending two variations of an email to subsets of your list to see which performs better.

Definition

A/B testing splits a subset of your list (often 10-20%) between two versions of an email, measures a winning metric (opens, clicks, conversions), and sends the winner to the rest. Common tests: subject lines (highest impact), send time, CTA wording, email length. Need at least 1,000 recipients per variant for statistical significance.
